“Hunger Strike at Tent Plaza, Hunger Strike Anywhere”

Tent Plaza (Tento-hiroba), settled at a corner of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) site, Tokyo, ever since September 11, 2011, has been serving as an essential foothold for all the people seeking for the way to break with nuclear power, including nuclear disaster victims and evacuees from Fukushima.
METI, however, without giving ear to deep voices of those people, has launched legal action to obtain the surrender of the tent site. (The 1st oral argument will be held on May 23.)
And we, the Tent Plaza stuff, are going to take a continuous joint hunger strike and sit-in action from May 16 to May 21, in order to express our unyielding intention to call for the METIs withdrawal of litigation, and to represent the solidarity of all the people struggling to break with nuclear power.
There should be many people who cannot come to the Tent Plaza in front of METI building, and still want to join our action. So, we humbly request each and every of such people everywhere in Japan and in the world to take her/his own support action at the very spot she/he is at, in accordance with our word, Hunger Strike at Tent Plaza, Hunger Strike Anywhere.
We hope to create big surge of peoples demand to save the anti-nuclear tents by requesting you anywhere to take your own unique action united with Hunger Strike at Tent Plaza.
